trans pan leak and rtv sealant '95 940

had a bad trans pan leak. did a meticulous job of inst another gasket. still have a very slight leak. can there be another spot on the trans body where it could still leak? like around linkage or another gasket. also does anyone know of a better hi temp sealant than rtv. it seems to take a set too quickly esp. when a lot of rebolting is involved. thanks
