I had this misconfigured. If you've been looking for a checkbox and didn't see it, it turns out you're not crazy after all. It really truly wasn't there.

Now... if you don't see it you are crazy.

(You don't see it on this topic because this feature is disabled on forums where it doesn't make sense... like this one, which is General Chat.)
