V70 AWD Transmission torque mount
V70 AWD Transmission torque mount
The transmission torque mount is worn on my car and I went looking for a replacement. It seems that Volvo discontinued the required part number 9470836. My only other option appears to be proparts which I would like to avoid. Any ideas?

Volvo part # 30680750 should fit. Seems like it's pretty readily available, too.

Application note: This product fits most FWD & AWD P80 & P2 based five cylinder models but does not fit AWD models prior to 2001.

In for an answer as I've been wondering the same thing. I have been told when asked elsewhere that you can get the non-awd mount and make a frankenmount with your existing parts but haven't taken the steps necessary to verify how this would be done.

Hm.... I saw 30680750 listed as if it would fot a 2000. But now I'm all confused.
http://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts/en ... 6f68c876ae will definitely fit, though. Listed as alternative to 9470836.

I also have the concern about the lack of availability of this part for AWD P80 vehicles.
I recall a response when I had a thread on this subject from a member who had modified a P2 lower torque mounting by modifying the bolt hole positions by elongating them, and this was successful.
I have been trying to contact a couple of parts suppliers in Sweden who claim to sell poly-bush inserts for the lower torque bracket, but I have not received any replies. I wanted to confirm if the sold both sizes of bush, or just the front/larger bushes. My experience has been the smaller rear ones are the ones that typically fail.
Has anyone tried Frankensteining the rear mounting from a AWD version to a FWD version? Anyone know what the actual differences are?
Powerflex in USA have what appears to be the small and large bushings at a price!

There is a lot of chatter and good info on this thread also:

Hope this is of some help!

I don't get it... the vparts mount lists just about every Volvo there is - is there really a difference between them, or are we victims of Volvo shenanigans with part numbers?

I have sent e-mails again to the 2 Swedish companies to see if I can get an answer from them.
