850R-Next project-control arms, tie rods, etc Torque Question

Post by 850FL »

Now that the PCV job is done with all of your help...I am moving on to the next driveway project. The tie rods are shot so I wnet ahead and ordered a bunch of parts to put on. Anyway, I am going to install new control arms, inner and outer tie rods, and stabilizer bark links. Once I started looking around in there, all the bushings seems shot so I figure I might as well replace all the stuff.

Just a few questions. I have found the torque specs of the outer tie rod is apparently 52 ft pounds. However, I have been unable to locate any torque specs for the control arms and the inner tie rods. Does anyone know these?

I really appreciate the help. I've been having a great time working on this little car.

From the Haynes manual:
Control Arm to Subframe: 51ft-lbs and then an additional 120 degrees
Control Arm Balljoint Clamp: 37ft-lbs
Tie Rod End Balljoint Nut: 52ft-lbs

They are well worth it! You can probably pick one up at a parts store. I know autozone, advanced, and pep boys usually carry them.
