Well it is a little further on and have ordered a reman rack, (sorry oragex too nervous about getting original online and there are not enough volvos in the area to give me parts to pick from in the local yards) and also some new struts, spring seat and control arms. Anyone have any opinions on line of attack? Was thinking of taking everything off, cataloging it then replace in this order: rack, struts, control arms. Any thoughts? Is this approach a good one or should I address each issue individually (install rack, test drive, install struts, test drive, install control arms, test drive).
Opinions welcome...

I am currently installing reman rack and the outer tie rods are 1"shorter than the ones that were on the car, should I use these or are they dangerous?
