2002 Volvo V70XC front end creaking

I have a 2002 Volvo V70XC with 243,000 miles. In 2014 the front end was creaking when taking off from a stop, or driving slow down a dirt road and hitting bumps, or backing up in reverse and turning the wheel to get out of a parking space. It also creaks in parking lots when I drive slow and turn the wheel either way. I had the struts replaced and this didn't stop it. Sway bar links have all been replaced, tie rod ends, etc. Stopped it for about a year, then the left side started again. The left spring had broken, so replaced that and all was well until about 4 months ago now the passenger side is doing it. Spring not broken on that side that I can find but taking to mechanic today for oil change so going to have him check it to be sure. What else can be causing this? It's driving me crazy!
