Volvo XC70 seat belt/key warning buzzer - how do I turn off?

Post by chris1030 »

I have a 2003 XC70. How do I disconnect the annoying buzzer that rings every time I leave the key in the ignition, a perfectly reasonable thing to do sometimes (as when I go to the back seat to get something), or when the seat belts are not connected?
Thanks,
Chris

I haven't looked, but perhaps a pulled fuse or relay would take care of this for you. Chances are it will also disable something else too.

Fuses are listed in owners' manual.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

There is a relay under the driver's side kick panel. Pull it out and it should stop it.
