I just got a 2004 V70 in pretty good shape but it has 160,000+ now so I just want to get it checked out and make sure it is taken care off because I want it to last! Also there is an airbag message that says it needs to be serviced at a certain date to remain safe and effective. Does this need to be done by a dealer?

Pete..sorry for late reply. The 10 year policy for replacing air bags was relaxed by TSB, they are now considered lifetime items
