More than 100 disgruntled Tesla owners in Norway have sued the US automaker because the electric cars don't accelerate as quickly as promised, their lawyers said on Wednesday.
The 126 plaintiffs claim their electric vehicles don't accelerate from 0 to 100 kph (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds, as marketed.

Haha they should try getting around in my 2000 V70 5 speed auto NA !! It's all noise and no go. By the time I hit the local 60kph (37.5mph) speed limit in built up areas it already feels like I'm flying
.
Still I can half see their point after spending all that hard earned cash. Still I always thought that everyone knows you don't buy new technology until the 3rd generation of the model. That excludes all 2016 XC90s of course

700 horsepower would be "wicked," and an inexperienced driver could create an accident quickly, if full power is delivered to drive wheels. I use to "drag race" higher-horsepower street cars on streets and highways, many years ago, but we did it on isolated highways or isolated streets via moving race-start. Two vehicles starting from a fixed position was a potential danger when rear-wheels were burning rubber.precopster wrote:Still I can half see their point after spending all that hard earned cash.
I have no idea how Telsa's vehicles implemented torque vectoring, but just a guess, this might be reducing these drivers' "track speed."

As the driver of a car with a mighty 1.4 liters, I know your pain.precopster wrote:Haha they should try getting around in my 2000 V70 5 speed auto NA !! It's all noise and no go. By the time I hit the local 60kph (37.5mph) speed limit in built up areas it already feels like I'm flying.
