Volvo s70 T5 Stalls when in cold weather

Post by ericktorres56 »

Hi Folks
I being trying for a year to find out Why my 1999 s70 T5 stall when starting only if it's cold outside. If the outside temp is under 70 degrees it stalls and revolutions jump up and down for a while. Then as soon as it heats up everything is fine. Well sometimes if i go and stop then go somewhere else and stop again even if it's hot it may do it for a while again.

This is what I have done so far. Change the oxygen sensors Upstream and downstream,Mos Sensor,Coolant thermostat and sensor, camshaft sensor. New Spark plugs and coils, located 2 vacuum lines and changed them. Gas filter, new alternator and battery cables. Then I replaced the ETM module with a contactless one. I have done every flush of the engine, coolant, breaks, injection.

I have no codes on the car, and besides this it runs smooth acceleration is strong, somebody told me it may be the gas pump.

Help Please. Thanks

I would smoke test both vacuum and induction for leaks. An induction leak in a turbo will make it run very poorly
