Headlight switch removal

Post by Jconto »

I have a 2006 XC90 and want to replace a bulb in the headlight switch. I can't figure out how to remove it. Do I need to disconnect the handbrake cable? Also, suggestions for the bulbs?

I have not done the XC90 yet, but in the Volvo 850, S70 series, if you get behind the panel (knee bolster out), just push it out from behind.
Most of us use Radio Shack bulbs (pack of 2 for $2 or so).

Some info from Volvo S70 forum:

Go to ebay and search for some XC90 HL switch photos, it will give you some hints how to remove it:
