Tough morning... I'm tuning the db server, or put another way, "I'm trying to prevent a MySQL instance overload condition of memory, connections and CPU."

My AMD computers always give me trouble. My Intels are always better.

I have a FX desktop that has surprisingly been the best computer I've ever had. Every other AMD I've had was super terrible and crash-prone. Granted, it isn't quite competitive by today's standards - but I also couldn't afford an i7 at the time

I've got my Dell desktop running an old AMD Sempron that's been around since probably 2008, and it's been great. It has its moments, and it even blew up the motherboard in a thunderstorm, but it's been great. My i3 HP laptop has little problems here and there, but I think the hard drive is going out or something. Performance wise it's the best computer I've ever had.
