1996 855R $1500 Jacksonville, FL

Well the time has come for me to part ways with my beloved 850. I do not have anywhere to store it and i need it gone ASAP. I bought it in 2008 off of a member of Volvospeed and flew from FL to Iowa to get it. I greatly enjoyed this car for many years and with the right owner this car can continue to provide years of enjoyment. The car has been off of the road since May of this year when I bought a new car ('05 Forester). So, on with the good and the bad on the old girl. Naturally, I'll start with the good :)

Good

-All silicone hoses (Samco) under the hood
-3in catback with 2 inline magnaflows... sounds beautiful
-Manual boost controller and a VDO boost gauge
-Replaced radiator in 2011
-Replaced starter in 2009
-A/C evaporator in 2010
-Timing belt about 4 years ago
-Replaced PCV and flame trap 3 or 4 years ago
-Lowered on blue iPd lowering springs (Camber adjustment bolts up front)
-Replaced ALL suspension components early in 2016 - kit from FCP. The car is pretty slammed but can be put into nearly perfect alignment.
-Full set of tires put on in early 2016 (currently sitting on 15in Volvo Argo wheels - used to have it on 18in pegs but they were just way too big for the car... especially for how low the iPd springs have it sitting)
-25mm H&R trakplus wheel spacers all the way around
-The single stage paint is in great condition... earlier this year I clay barred, compounded, polished, and waxed her to a brilliant shine
-Redid the headliner in a beige suede material... when I got to the sunroof the trim basically disintegrated so if that bothers you that needs to be addressed

Not so good
-The car is old and bears a few scars (the front lip is pretty chewed up because of how low it is... however I did some pretty nice stitch work by drilling tiny holes and stitching the breaks with zip ties. Ill put current pictures when I go over to my grandmothers tomorrow where the car is currently stored)
-Needs the head gasket replaced... probably the biggest thing wrong with the car right now and the reason I took it off the road earlier this year. It is still drivable and surprisingly powerful given the cylinder compression is around 130 for 4 cylinders and then one is at 90.
-Odometer went out at 125,000 bought the car with 103,000... never imagined I'd sell the car so I never fixed it. Car sits at around 250,000 miles now.
-Passenger door was sprung about a year ago and I can't get it to close completely... it latches so nobody is going to fall out or anything just doesn't close completely
-Needs some brake work - Front drilled rotors and rear rotors just need to be turned, new pads and associated hardware, fluid flush, and I would reccomend new lines as well
-The factory stereo is all screwed up (CD player works veryyy intermittantly and I am taking the polk audio speakers I put in the rear doors, sooo there won't be any rear speakers)
-Developed an exhaust leak at the manifold a few weeks before I took the car off the road haven't had an opportunity to find exactly where the leak is... Last fall I noticed one of the hangers for the rear magnaflow mufflers had broken off so possibly the stress of that muffler caused it to split somewhere up near the front.
-I think the AC compressor is going out. I had it blowing cold air earlier this year but after a while the cold air would cease to blow.
-Heater core needs to be replaced
-Missing the passenger seat
-My wife backed into the car and i have replaced everything that was broken including a broken headlight and the headlight support, as you can see in one of the pictures the two trim pieces underneath the headlights aren't color matched.

So, I'm pretty sure thats everything. I realllly wanted to hold on to the car and make a project out of it but I'm not in the position to have 2 vehicles. I have nowhere to store it and my family members are no longer willing to garage it for me. So I really need this gone ASAP. I know this will make a great project car or DD for someone willing to put a little TLC into it.

Cheers everyone and thanks for looking!

-Eric
