Up for sale is my 1998 Volvo S70 T5 manual. For more information, including pictures and full maintenance history spreadsheet, check out the car at:

This is a factory manual car and the only year of T5M's without the troublesome electronic throttle. This car has been my baby since I purchased it from Dallas Texas in June 2007 with 107k miles. The car has been fully maintained with no deferred maintenance items. My full maintenance record is available in spreadsheet form at the website listed above. My view of a well-maintained car is that you should be able to get into the car whenever you want and go for a 800+ mile round trip with a second thought. Even now at 203k miles this is still my view of the car, if I want to go from Tacoma to San Fran tonight, just for good measure check the tire pressure and confirm fluid levels for, grab some road food and GO!
Most recently the car was heavily prep'd at 187k miles to bring my family from the Boston area to our new home in Tacoma, WA, see lines 94 through 102 of the attached spread sheet. The car runs and drives beautifully, with no maintenance items needed at this time, and washed up is a still a sharp looking car.
The brake pads and rotors are all in very good condition, running dust free Akebono euro pads front and rear with plenty of pad depth remaining and the rotors are flat with no lips on the rims. The rear parking brake pads and cables have been replaced and set and hold the car very well, which is especially important in a manual car. The tires, Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S on 16" wheels, are in good condition with 7/32 remaining out of the original 10.5/32, produced in 2012.
Extras:
+ FXR Bi-Xenon headlight retrofit
+ Front leather seats upgraded to P2 foams and leathers
+ Professional tinted windows from the b-pillar back. Tinted at 35%.
+ Class II (3500 lbs) hitch and wiring harness
+ IDP aluminum skid plate
+ Summer and winter OEM mats
The car has never been modified or over boosted, the only non-stock items on the car are a MSD ignition coil, a true HID headlight retrofit (details of this can be seen here) and front seats (driver and passenger) leather skins and foam updated to P2 generation. I swapped the foam and leather onto the original seat frames so that the side airbag functionality has been maintained. As a plus it is will be much easier to source good condition leathers for the P2 cars (up through 2004) than the original P80 seats.
The car has been brought up to and maintained at a Stage 0 level and free of oil and fluid leaks. I have kept detailed records of the car's maintenance since I bought the car, which are available to view in a spreadsheet at the website listed above. All of the major systems in the car have been gone through, including all stage 0 service items, clutch (w/ RMS), front and rear suspension, brakes, fluids, radiator (including all coolant and heater hoses), heater core, vacuum lines (changed to silicone), PCV system, motor mounts (including the hydraulic ones), oil sump o-rings, timing belt (w/ pulleys and tensioner), serpentine belt (w/ pulleys and tensioner), ABS module rebuilt and many, many more items.
Detailed pictures of the car can be found at the website listed above. Overall the car is in good cosmetic condition for an 18 year old car. The interior is clean and has never been smoked in. The door panels that bubble and peel due to Volvo's poor choice of adhesives have been replaced with custom tan sued inserts. On the exterior there are minor blemishes from road chips and the clear coat lifting on a few pieces of the plastic trim (but not on any of the painted metal surfaces). There is a small dent above the left rear wheel well and some sort of indentation in the hood, it looks like someone sat in the middle at some point. As you can see in the pictures you can only notice this in some lighting conditions.
The car is being offered with all of my kit for the car, which includes both summer (wool) and winter (rubber) OEM floor mats, HID headlights, roof-racks, IPD aluminum skid plate and class II hitch and wiring harness. I will also throw in my Haynes manual and if desired my box of odds and ends for the car that I have accumulated over the years.
I have maintained this car, always buying parts for the long term instead of just using cheap short term parts. I am selling this car now because my target car became available at the right price and most importantly the right maintenance history and is sitting now sitting in my driveway. This car will make a great enthusiast car for whoever buys it, or just a great daily driver for someone new to Volvos.
I am asking $3,500 for the car with the full kit of extra items. The car is located in Tacoma WA.
