Buzzing radio with Grom USB.

I installed the Grom USB/BT kit today. I can stream Pandora and play music off a stick and it sounds very good. However, when I change back to over the air radio I'm getting a buzz from the radio while car is running. Very rhythmic and sounds likes plugs or coil firing.

When car is turned off but key on, the radio is crystal clear so it sure sounds like ignition to me. I have a tech assist into Grom but probably won't here from them for a couple days so looking for some ideas. I've reseated all connections including antenna.

It's usually a result of different ground locations, creating a current that comes through as sound. I've seen, but I'm not familiar with the GROM unit. However, a universal Ground Loop Isolator might be what you need. Big box stores like Best Buy, usually have a few units on hand to see if they will work with your set-up.

I also have not fitted a Grom unit. Fitted 2 x USA SPEC units and had no issues, but careful which ground you use. Did you use the HU ground and splice into that?

Thanks for the replies. The only spot where this kit ties into the car harness is a hot wire and the magic box that uses all stock connectors. There is no additional ground. Grom has been in contact with me already so customer service is spot on so far. I'll keep this up date for any future users.
