Replaced alarm siren but display still nags

Hi all greetings from London.

I'm the proud owner of a 2005 (2006MY) XC90 and had to do a few things when I first got it including sort out the alarm siren module. Thanks to battery leakage it was too far gone to repair so I've replaced it with a brand new dealer unit. The self test still tells me there's a fault and when I use an Ebay version of Vida Dice it shows the module not working. When I go through the procedure to reinitialise it no joy.

Any tips or tricks or must I get the dealer to program it?
