broken sway bar? 2002 S60 2.4T AWD 140,000km

While getting my oil change (not at the dealer) I was told the my front passenger sway bar had a lot of 'play' and needed to be replaced. After calling Volvo they suggested that it was most likely the linkage and not the sway bar itself.

Is it easy the replace the linkage? Any suggestions on how to do this and how long it should take. I don't have access to a hoist but I do have axle stands. Is this a common repair?

Yes, the linkage is easy to replace. Order the heavy duty ones from ipdusa.com

DO yo have any pictures of the sway bar so that I will be able to easily idenfity?

Also, do both front need to be replaced even though only one has broke
