Seafoaming through the intake manifold

Post by nditoto19 »

Hello, So im no mechanic, but I am quite knowledgeable when it comes to cars. DOWN TO BUSINESS....so I am the owner of a 1990 volvo 240 wagon base model. Couple weeks ago ive been having idling issues. Some problems like coming to a stop light and having the rev counter spike to about 2 grand and then drop down to normal. If anyone could maybe give me an insight on what that could be that would be great. Also ive been wanting to seafoam my car preferably directly through the intake manifold, maybe in hopes of getting rid of the rough idle and just clean the engine from carbon deposits. The only problem is I dont know what vacuum hose to use to suck up the seafoam. PLEASE HELP. THANKS. :D

I would suggest that the ignition power stage may be going bad.
