Have decided to JUMP SHIP from SAAB after long & loving relationship.
I'm interested in a vehicle (listing below) & would greatly appreciate some OPINIONS &
SUGGESTIONS before commiting.
I'm a long time (DIY) SWEDE Wrencher on 900's, 9000's & V240's (Head/Heart/Backaches & Rewards to
prove it!) but NO experience with the 850 at all. I'd appreciate MODEL SPECIFIC info, ie.. Mech
Flaws, Faults, Tips, Tricks! This model yr. VS later model yrs! Be on the LOOKOUT for(s), etc...

North American 93s are different than the rest of the years. Not sure how much this would actually affect ownership, but the differences that I know are headlights (size) and wheel lugs (4 not 5).
Have you driven it? I can't say much about it beyond that it looks ok on paper, for a very high milage car. Be on the look out for lots of vibration from engine or brakes (warped rotors... common problem).

Thankyou for the information. Yes, Warped Rotors would present Front end vibration. This is a common condition with FWD's where the TORQUE pressure greatly exceeds spec for bolts & nuts associated with the front end or damaged bushings. This of course doesn't take into account a prior front end collision.
