I've been trying to figure out a way to put a CB radio in a P80 chassis Volvo over the last few months. I got my hands on a map holder trim piece and a spare glove box insert and I took some measurements.
While the potential CB project is on hold until I get some more pressing issues squared away on the car, I decided to take some measurements on the two components before I put them in my storage room. This way I will have the photos to reference saved on my phone.
The idea was to mount a micro-framed CB unit into the map tray, or an all-in-one unit like a Cobra 75. I also considered mounting the unit into the left side of the glove box and drilling a hole to run all the cables out the back.
Not sure if anyone has ever needed or thought about these dimensions, but here they are for posterity's sake (lol)
