2002 V70 Cruise Control Problem

my cruise control has stopped working. When i press cruise on the steering wheel it lights up in the dashboard instrument cluster but when i press the + - button, i will not engage, any ideas please

Here's a video by rspi that helped me solve my cruise control issues. In my case, it was a faulty brake switch.
