My car is an 2004 S60 non-turbo fwd atx with 130,xxx miles. The problem I am having is that when I am turning right there is a rhythmic clicking/popping noise. I have to be going at least about 10 mph when turning for it to make the noise and the faster I am driving around corners, the faster the clicking is. There are no vibrations or any other symptoms. Outside of the clicking noise it drives 100% fine. No play in the wheels when the car is jacked up.
I would normally think it is a bad CV axle that needs replacing but I replaced the LH cv axle 6 months ago and replaced the RH cv axle last week. 6 months ago the LH side was making a clicking noise and after replacing the LH cv axle the clicking noise was gone. A few weeks ago I noticed one of the RH cv axle boots was ripped(no noise or anything, just a ripped boot) so I went ahead and replaced it with a brand new axle. After installing it, I drove it around and that's when the clicking noise started. I thought maybe my replacement CV axle was bad, so I returned it and bought another one from a reputable aftermarket company(different brand than the first). Installed the 2nd replacement, drove it around and heard the exact same clicking noise.
At this point I took it to a local swedish auto specialist shop(not a dealer). He drove it for a day or two and inspected it just to tell me that he didn't see anything that would be causing that noise and wasn't sure if it was axle related. Said my control arm bushing was worn but said that it wouldn't make that noise.
Fast forward 1 week and I am driving it daily and it is still making the clicking noise when I am turning right.
Anyone have suggestions or ideas of what it could be? Thanks!
Other recent maintenance: Routine oil changes, front and rear Brakes 6 months ago, & timing belt/water pump maintenance 1 month ago.

I agree with the control arms, were the axle end bolts replaced with new ones? These are stretch bolts if I remember and cannot be re-torqued properly. Just another thing to look at.
