The ECU does not report turbo boost or fuel pressure in the P80 cars. ScanGauge can't show it.

Temp gauge in the cluster is programmed to show "normal" 3 o'clock temp between 175° and 235°.

Hard to find a good place to place the ScanGauge. I have considered getting another dash pad and molding it in the pad above the center vents. The current layout uses almost all of the face nicely.

Too bad. Volts, tons of gas mileage stuff, and water temp is about it for the Scan Gauge?

There was a way on my MINI Cooper S to get the ScanGauge to display boost - basically it was a custom setting that displayed boost from data extrapolated from the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) reading.

I'm thinking there might be a way to do something similar from the Volvo's MAF (mass airflow) sensor data, but I haven't played around with my Scan Gauge enough yet. And also - my car is currently being stored in Las Vegas and I'm in Alaska...so might be a while.

If memory serves, I was able to get the following out of my Scan Gauge: Intake Air Temp, Coolant Temp, Ignition Timing, vehicle speed, RPM, Voltage, Throttle Position Sensor, Fuel System Loop Status (closed or open), Load, Horsepower, and a host of gas mileage and 1/4 mile acceleration stuff. It also reads/clears codes.

Here's Robert's video on the Scan Gauge:

Ultra gauges provide a wide range of data readings including coolant temp' and boost, average miles/gallon etc.
Dependent on the year and model they plug straight into the cars obdII port.
My 2002 V40 could get 48 different readings apparently but I only have mine set to give 12 to meet my needs.

This is how I have my ScanGauge II mounted in my car. It's out of the way and doesn't rattle. No excess cable hanging out all over the place...

Keeping the Platinum wagon out of AK winters is wise, If I recall it was a CA car! If I could get boost, volts, coolant temp that might just be enough, so I'll keep thinking on that a bit. I care some less about all the gas mileage info which is academic to me, and I have a cheap code reader.

Yup. Definitely keeping the Platinum away from AK winters. The climate ruined the last car I brought up (1981 Mercedes 300D) so I'm going to avoid doing that again. And you're correct - it's an original CA car. :)
