850 t5 having issues after blowing a head gasket

My 1997 850 t5 blew a headgasket and I want to know if the twc code means it will or already did cause damage to the catalytic converter. I drove it home which was a 45 minute drive. Also i noticed it makes loud pops if I give it some gas and let off it. I need to know if the cat is bad cause otherwise the car would be too much to fix all together and I'd probably just buy another one.

The answer about the code is still the same: if you are talking about a misfire code (P030x), it means nothing about the cat. It means repeated misfires *could* cause damage to the cat, but that rarely happens. It is just a misfire code, dozens of people get them every day without any affect on the cat.

If you are talking about some other code, post up the actual code number we can give you feedback on it.

Are you still driving the car? Does the exhaust seem clogged up or is it flowing well?

How much is a cat? You can get a new exhaust for less than 500 doll hairs. I know the south is weird but I'm certain a new cat is not a death sentence for the car. The head gasket however will certainly set you back quite a bit. That should be your main concern.

The twc damage code is p1310
The other codes are p0301 p0303 p0300
At idle it seems like it has something clogged in the exhaust. When driving its fine.

I have a perfect shape downpipe and cat from stock 855t, southern car all it's life, if you are interested pm me. Not certain what laws we violate even discussing putting a used cat back on a car, much less finding someone to do it if you're not up for it.
