Since I'm not sure where you are from and, as such, don't know how to tailor the question, is your Check Engine or Lambda light on?

If so, you need to have the codes checked and cleared, it can often pinpoint the problem.

If you have codes please post them. That will help us narrow down your problem quickly.

Other common items that result in your problem is spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, distributor rotor, fuel filter, vacuum leaks,

No codes but stumbling or "cracking" sound? The cracking is something that concerns me and I'd like to know more about this sound- what you mean exactly... If it happens as you let off the gas it could be the exhaust manifold that is loose from the rest of the exhaust and thus needs tightening, or in the worst case, it could be cracked....certainly seems to me that your problem might be related to some type of back pressure issue...especially if you have no codes. It would take getting under your car and looking (heat shield off) to see if your manifold/exhaust connection could be the problem.
