89 to 92 240 engine swap

Hi, I've been chasing gremlins around my 92 240GL (has left me on the roadside too many times) I've got two 89 240DL's.(engines both great runners, body/frames not so much) I'm considering swapping out one of the 89 engines to the 92. Anyone have any advice, experience? Is the wiring similar? Should I swap ECU as well? Thank you.

Swap all sensors over to replacement engine?
