Black painted wheels. This is a phenomenon that's been common for around 10 years. Even car companies and OEM wheel producers have been pumping out black wheels after this trend caught on.
I have nothing against it. I did this in the late 80s with a '79 Porsche 924 I drove way back then. I painted them myself in the warehouse of a paint store I worked for (Sherwin-Williams) on a slow Sunday.
But when I'm looking at a used Volvo or any car, it's a red flag for me. It means the car was driven by a teen or 20-something. I'm not saying all teens and 20-somethings treat cars poorly, but I'd rather buy a car from an owner who is say 70. That's just my preference.
(Also, in this ad the infamous "4 cylinders" makes an appearance. But I digress.)
Here's another "don't buy" flag for me...

There's one driving around town where I live P2 s60 Grey + black painted wheels. Looks more sporty yet awful at the same time.

I am always cautious about buying a car from a driver who needs to replace the shifter knob on a MT with a skull or a piece of aluminum. I've been in too many cars with folks who'd done that who would shift gears somewhere between 5000 and 6000PRMS...
