"There aren't too many police on German roads, yes, but if caught tailgating you're in for a hefty fine. Worst case scenario: you could be stuck with a $450 ticket. In America, you'd be lucky if a state trooper even bat an eye. "

WAIT! there is some fun t be had with some of this new technology. If you are driving a wee bit too fast and go over a rise in the road the electric tensioning belts (not the collision pyrotechnic one time function) give me that hug I giggle for several minutes. It will you give you a hug for a few other reasons but all of those involve getting WAY to close to having a wreck. There are hugs and then there are snatch your ass down in the seat superhugs. If you get a superhug the S90 or XC90 dash screen should pop up some driver school website addresses. You've done a no-no.

Tesla Model S driver survives violent crash on Germany’s Autobahn - The circumstances that led to the crash still remain somewhat murky, but there’s no evidence at this point that would suggest that Tesla’s Autopilot software played a role in this particular incident.
