I've been pretty forgiving with them, but after the last fiasco I'm cutting my ties.
If you bought a fancy $60k car from them you'll be fine because it's probably gravy warranty work, but expect to get treated like a bum if you bring in an older car.

When I was poking about Autobarn (Eisenhower @ Harlem) to inquire about having spare keys made I noticed quite a few P2s in the stalls, and the service department looked busy. I got a super good vibe talking to their SM. He helped me once over the phone several months later which I consider 'above and beyond'. Their online customer reviews seem to be mostly favorable and/or glowing. I dropped by Fields once when I was shopping, reaction from sales when I told them what I was looking for an 8-10 year old S60 was they only deal new and off lease or 1 owner trade/CPOs under 5. You have to consider where they are and what segment of the market they're going after. A dealer in Oak Park is going to me more aligned with a crowd that is more likely to own older nice vehicles.
In my Volvo hunting extravaganza a year and a half ago I also got the impression Mueller Ford service dept. just up the road from Fields has a tech or two who are adept with P2s. They had a really good one I looked at...'06 35k garage kept/dealer maintained, even had all 3 original keys as good as they get for $7 even. I messed up by not test driving/buying it on the spot...It was sleeting fierce I wasn't comfortable going in an unfamiliar vehicle in an unfamiliar part of town in terrible weather. They pulled it inside and I spoke to a tech (they assess trades to determine whether it meets criteria for resale or send to auction). The listing went up online 12 hours before I looked at it. Next day 11am when I made it back I saw the new owner, who came in first thing in the morning, drive it off the lot. I still kick myself a little over letting that one slide through my fingers. Small deposit to hold is standard practice for dealers in larger cities. Usually non refundable I hesitated/misjudged how quick it was likely to go. When I was looking for the XC90 for my sister and found a decent one for a great price (also in Chicago area) I knew this time not to mess around.
