OE vs. Genuine Volvo - What's it all mean? Find out at FCP EURO

Post by FCPEURO »

Hey Mathews,

From speaking to some of our customers here At FCP Euro, we were getting the impression that there may be some confusion between the difference of Genuine, OE, & OEM and we wanted to be sure that everyone knew the differences in quality, price, and appearance.

So, what's the difference and how can we tell? Well, at https://www.fcpeuro.com/ we've made a conscious effort to clearly identify each part by its quality level which can be found on our product pages. Each part will be tagged either Genuine, OE, OEM, Aftermarket, or Performance. All OE and OEM products have been labeled to make searching easier.

Additionally, we've created a page full of illustrations showing what to look for, and how you can clearly identify the OE supplier from the original parts found on your Volvo.

You can check out the page here: https://www.fcpeuro.com/page/oe-academy

As always, If there's anything else I can help with now or in the future, please feel free to PM me.

Jason
