Ignition issue

Ignition issue

240 always starts but occasionally (four times in a month) startup does not include any other electrical items meaning no radio no dash lights, no headlights, etc. Also the button on shifter does not function.If I shift from reverse to park, the car sounds like it is trying to start again even though it is running. When I turn it off and restart, its OK and behaves normally. Is this possibly an ignition switch issue?
