Hello, I have a problem with # 15 fuse ( interior light,OBD2 Central locking). The fuse pops instantly. I have tried isolating the circuit s. I have disconnected front driver and passenger door, cigarette lighter and dome harness. I installed a 25 amp fuse to see how long it would hold-2 seconds. I am at a loss. I searched for signs a mouse may have tried to make a home and I searched as best as possible for a broken/ nicked wire, has anyone else had this unfortunate issue?
I did replace the immobilizer relay because the car would not start. But this was done after this issue started.

If it is a wagon, the tailgate wires are a weak point after 20 years, and they will cause this exact problem. I experienced this last October. I'm not sure if the sedan suffers the same fate in the trunk

I believe the visor lights are on the same circuit. I chased a popped fuse for a few weeks until I figured out the drive's side had chaffed within the hinge, knocking a fuse out immediately.
However, I would check abscate's suggestion of tailgate harness first.
