Delta links and lower engine mount brands for P80 cars

Post by abscate »

I'm doing this job and looking at off brand for 50 USd and Volvo for 199 each

That's a big price delta and I want about another 50000 miles put of this car

Any advice or voices of experience?

Same question for lower engine mount...are off brands ok?

Documenting feedback from Lee on delta links

As far as the jack stand placement goes I think I put them directly in front of, and inward from the anchor points. It has been several years and many repairs ago - memories fade.

As far as parts I actually used Scan Tech and, to my amazement, they have lasted for well over 100k miles. Febi-Bilstien is a great brand but the price actually scares me. Is everyone sure the quoted price is for the end link and not the bushing?

Really good rear suspension end link discussion here

https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... f=1&t=9402

Volvo OEM links good, 200 usd

After markets at approx 70-100 reported ok

Cheap ones 30-40 unknown but usually problematic brands

I bought my Scan-Tech trailing arm links in 2010...I'm still waiting to install them. They were $60 each at that time

FCP lists Rein as OEM: Volvo Engine Mount (850 S70 V70) - Rein 8631698
and the price is good $25.
Is this a decent part or do they not last?
