Post by jeffsws »

Hello everyone.

Would anyone have any info on how to remove the center console side panel? See the red circle in the pic:

Thank you!

I'm sorry I can see the picture here, perhaps you could re-post it. I think I know what you mean but don't want to give you bad instructions when I am not 100% sure what you are talking about.

Ah, damn it. Looks like it's hard to share the actual picture with one drive. Or at least haven't figured how to do it properly. I added a direct link now in case it fails again.

It's the part of lower dash. You will need to remove the whole lower dash on the passenger's side.

Yeah, that's part of the lower dash assembly. Robert has great videos showing dash removal on a P80:

I can see the picture now and the guys are right on the money. Only way to remove that panel is to remove the dash. What are you needing into that area to get to if I may ask? There may be another way to tackle it.

Thank you. I no longer need to remove it but it's good to know in case I ever do.
I needed to remove the entire MCC and not just the cover. It's a real b**** compared to the simple ECC. I manged it by removing the radio and the small container below that.
