89 240 wagon... How do I lay the back seat down?

Hi,

Eric again in Florida.
I tried to flip down my back seat on my 89 240 volvo wagon and it seems to want to do so, but it looks stuck.

The seat back does flip down, but I cannot lay it flat since the seat bottom does not flip forward like a Grand Cherokee back seat for example.

I've had this car for almost four years and I absolutely love it and I just had the need to lay the seat flat and I do not have an owners manual.

before you tilt the seat back forward, you can flip the bottom by pulling the release lever, front edge, passenger side.
if your front seats are back too far, it won't lay flat.
