Lets have all five plugs out and a picture to see if cylinders are all pulling equally.

How old are the coils?

update, I replaced the ignition coil, replaced spark plugs and the turbo boost sensor solenoid last night. Took it for a test drive and drove great but still getting the reduced engine performance error. It drove well enough that without that error light coming on you'd think there is nothing wrong with it. Drove it for 30 mins. this morning on the freeway and you can notice a change in the acceleration again like before. At times no error code when I accelerate only when I let off of the pedal and then vice a versa. After my test drive last night I unplugged the MAF and apart from that 1 second stumble once it's unplugged it resumed to normal idle and drove the same unplugged. Went to go pick up a new MAF at my indie shop this morning and the one they had does not match mine. Frustrating as I love the car one minute and hate it the next. I'll order one online today and see if that makes any real difference unless I should go another route. When I select the instantaneous mpg option in the message window I was getting 27 mpg for a good portion of my drive this morning and then started to jump all over the place. Went as high as 30+ to as low as 6 mpg. If the new MAF doesn't make any difference then I'm going to bite the bullet and have my local Volvo dealership pull codes etc,

You really need to read this with Vida. Those generic code readers just don't read P2s well at all and will have you buying parts all day.

The MAF reading should be around 12-14 kg/hr at idle. Anything lower and you have an airleak.

Ok, I see where I can get a Vida Dice online for under $100 for the equipment but do I also need to buy the separate software too? I'm a Mac guy and I don't own a PC. If I do need the DVD & PC then I might post on the forum for someone who's close to me here in Va Bch, VA to see if I can use theirs.

Look here in the vida software forum, there are people selling complete ready to read units on laptops.

You've got a tiger by the tail. The VIDA readout will make a difference. Without it, we're just guessing.
The misfire code is likely accurate. At least swap the suspect coil to another location to see if the code changes.
My worthless guess is in the direction of O2 sensors (currently or in the past) being bad and taking a toll on the cats.
My "idle hands" suggestion would be to check the fuel rail pressure. There's a common gauge for that.

I also just had the thought that nobody has ever suggested reading with VIDA upon cold startup then later on when warm.

If you have a few bucks in your pocket and some down time you might want to drain and fill the trans.
You may have filthy-black-smelly fluid. Then, at least, you can schedule further action better.

Do keep us posted

I found where I can buy the PC preloaded and the hardware to check codes so that's on it's way. I do plan on flushing the transmission fluid following the directions found on the forum once I get all this other stuff taken care of. I'll post back my results once I receive laptop and hardware.

Clear all the codes. Smoke test the induction hose path..you are looking for splits or holes in the path.

So, I got my dedicated laptop and Vida Dice tool, erased all codes and started fresh and I'm getting the 2 that I knew were present,
UEM-0004 siren module
UEM-0005 sun roof communication fault, operation of SR is tied to siren module which I bought but haven't installed yet.
ECM-5200 RPM Sensor-signal too low.
So, this is what I believe is causing all my "reduced engine performance". The timing belt was replaced locally about 10K miles ago back in 2014. I'll dig around for the sensor and check about ordering it. I feel better about buying parts now that I've got Vida Dice & laptop.
