Amp install - no power cable under passengers seat

Post by deividas »

Hey folks,

I'm trying to figure out how I should install amp on my 2002 v70 and I was almost successful however I noticed that there is no cable for powering amp it self. After few hours research I didn't find anything useful ( schematics ) or similar.

I know that there is 17 fuse in fuse box and have bought connector for powering amp the question is how I should connect my connector from amp to that fuse. Also have attached pic of the connector.

Yes, I did since got to install cable from amp to HU, nothing found there. I think I should take off decorations above fuse box to see maybe there is cable hidden somewhere around or just install own to it in case no luck.

When I installed my amp, I found the power cable somewhere along side the wiring bundle underneath the passenger door sill trim piece.
Les is more.

Yea, some owners are quite lucky. Not sure on what parameters or cars it depends however some cars has such wiring cables pre-installed some of them doesn't. In my case I'm who's not so lucky. :) Have even removed passengers seat and some of covers alongside door where all installation cables is located.
Going to see how I will be lucky by messing around the fuse. The simplest solution would be take 12v from radio but I'm curious about connecting to 17 fuse as it should be original installation.
