Are you still getting air from the ducts? Does the hum get louder with higher fan speeds and quieter with lower ones? Do you still get the hum with the HVAC fan/blower turned off?

Does your car have ECC (Electronic adjusting) controls for the A/C and heating, or MCC manual controls. If you have MCC I can't think what would cause that noise unless one of the flaps is nearly jammed closed for the windshield air. That would be affected on an ECC unit too, but then you have an electronic unit that could possibly make a noise (unlikely).
Try moving the position of the air outlet lever/control to say your feet or face lever (no windshield air) and see if it makes a difference. Does the noise stop if you switch the fan off?
The flaps that control where the air goes from the fan, do stick/break with age so even if you adjust where you want the air to come out of, the system can't move all the flaps.
Heater core will not affect this.
Neil.

I checked my settings and I done seem to be getting air from the feet as I used to, even though my air conditioning still works fine,I'm getting plenty of air from my upper vents,
Yes, it hums constantly, so I tune it out with my radio, I think it may be my blower motor under the glove box which is a B to replace, so as for as all that, I think my heater will be good once I replace the core, I just wont have it under my feet, am I correct in understanding your replys. Thanks
