Hi i have just brought a volvo 940 turbo wentworth estate automatic it cruises nice but when i put my foot down on the motorway it cuts out with no power so then i have to take my foot of the accelerator then put it back on to get power, but when i put my foot down at low speads or out of a junction i have no problems can someone help me

Start out by dumping the OBD codes and see if anything shows up (see the FAQ on how to read the codes)

Sometimes a blown turbo hose will exhibit the symptoms you have. They are not always easy to find. I would remove and inspect closely all of the hoses from the turbo to the intake very carefully looking for tears or splits.

yeah but if it was the turbo would it do it all the time when you put your foot down, because yesterday i put my foot down speeding up and it was alright but it was as soon as we was doing speed about 70mph then putting my foot down to overtake that is when it cuts out but i will try searching th pipes for cuts etc but plz reply to this post

A small hole or slit ... holds fine under vacuum or low boost, but opens up when pressure is applied.
