Hi,
My car: Polar (940) Turbo 2.0 Petrol SW (1997)
Last weekend I realised that the tank containing water and cleaning liquid for the windscreen was empty, therefore I provided to fill it up again.
After 15 minutes, the whole tank was empty, (strange coincidence because 1 minute earlier it was at least 50%), anyhow, I could see the liquid coming out below the tank location, but of course was not possible to see where exactly from, maybe the tank itself or a connector.
It is obviously my intention to check what has happened and therefore I want to remove the tank.
Since I've never worked in that part of the car before, can you give me any suggestion?
For instance, at a first look I've seen that close to the tank there's a black box where a TURBO logo is printed, I'm sure I need to remove it first in order to be able to remove then the water tank?
Can you just give me some tip where to start from, how many screws and where they are located given that it is difficult to see all of them.
Once checked what's wrong I'll come back to you in order to evaluate any possibility to repear it or get a new one.
Thanks very much for your help.

Hi,
Since weekend is there, can anybody help me with some ideas regarding my problem?
I've got to put my hands into it tomorrow.
Thank you

The black box you speek of is the air cleaner and masair sensor. My only sugection on the repair is to start by removing (carefully) every thing in the way of the water res. slowly and methodically untill the res. is free. You will be suprised @ how easy things can be once you start.
Good luck

Hi Baker,
So it says TURBO on the air filter black box? That's odd... I actually thought the turbo was inside it or something -- or maybe it's fitted with a performance filter. (e.g. bigger hoses for better breathing)

Hi Baker,
We've been having afternoon showers here all week long and will continue through the weekend before I start my first year of college. Today I drove through a puddle and my car slowed down and hydroplaned--steering became difficult until I parked alongside the road and let the water drain out. In the poor visibility I drifted off center of the lane and my side mirror scraped some construction fencing. The mirror cracked, but the plastic portion and the motor was fine..
Oh well
I really wish I could replace my stock rims with 16" ones with better rain tires..
