I think there is a decent guy in Pittsfield and if there isn't one in Northampton, I'll eat my SKF bearings

I've had Re-Volv work on both of my Volvos for mundane maintenance work (P2 control arms/ball joints) as well as some performance work (lowering springs and + Bilstein shocks and struts). Their labor rates are pretty good, have multiple loaner vehicles, and they also have a good selection of new and used parts.

They've also recently installed an alignment machine.

Failing that, any good word on other Volvo shops in the eastern half of MA?
Hi, My name is Nick and I run Re-Volv. As you may have seen, we're an Independent All-Volvo Shop in Oxford. We specialize in 1995 and newer Volvos and have all the tools and experience to tackle anything from routine oil changes to complete engine builds. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask - shop phone 508-299-7903. We would be more than happy to discuss anything Volvo-related.

Thanks for your time,
Nick

Nick, I'll add you to the independents in that forum , thanks for posting!

Executive summary 35/36 5 star reviews and one guy who doesn't know first gear from fifth gear.

On a more personal note, I cruise to Boston twice weekly from Albany so it's great to know a place to crash if needed. Uh oh. That didn't come out right.
