Head Gasket replacement
I have a line on a very nice 2004 S80 with a 2.9 Owner says the head gasket is blown. No smoke, no misfire but water in the oil and coolant use. (could be a trans cooler leak from what I understand) I did the HG on my 2007 S40 2.4 Is the 2.9 any more difficult than the 2.4?

I did a head gasket on the 2.9 NA (not turbo - normally aspirated). It is very similar to other Volvo engines - I also did the 2.4T.
Nothing terrible - just check your block/cylinder condition before you start ordering parts in the event the little overheat was really a major overheat.
