1998 S70 GLT 188K miles, burned valve #3, $1000 Omaha Nebraska

Hi guys,

I have a 1998 S70 GLT (Black on Black) with 188K miles with burned exhaust valve #3.
Compression is good in all cylinders except #3 (which is zero).
Car still runs fine, just rough idle but on highway it runs smooth like a Honda Accord with 4 cylinder engine.
Many many new car parts (search forum for my DIYs and you will see);
- New front bearings (FAG)
- New brakes.
- Newer tires
- Both axles have new boots
- New heater core
- Trans cooler hoses redone and perfect.
- Heater Hoses redone and perfect.
- PCV up to date.
- TB, WP, hydraulic tensioner done at 145K.
- Bilstein TC struts, seat, strut bearings etc. at 150K.
- Oil cooler O-rings done at 150K.
- New Steering Rack at 130K.
- Absolutely no oil leak.
- AC puller bearing just done (see forum)
- 4 winter tires on 4 separate rims.
- A box full of good spare Volvo parts (Turn signal assembly, fuel relays, MAF etc.).

So I am entertaining a few options:

1. If there is a local guru who can help me fixing the valve(s): basically removing the cyl head, replace the burned valve(s). Lap all the valves. Replace all seals. And re-install everything for me. I will pay for your labor. Contact me if you are local and interested in doing the cyl head job. Although I know how to do this job, I simply don't have time.

2. Sell the whole package (car + 4 winter tires) for $1000 with everything listed above. If you have the skills and DIY to fix the burned valve, this car will easily go to 250K.

3. Donate to charity or local refugees.

It is actually "Black paint with Tan Leather interior".
