The other Volvo repair shop in town quoted me $1500-1600. So the first guy wasn't totally unreasonable, but I'll go with the lower one.

Appreciate all the comments and advice!

Get a list of parts they are going to replace, from both parties, it could be the first guy is more knowledgeable.
