Synthetic ATF - is Mobil 1 Mercon V ok for 02 V70XC AWD?

I recently did a flush as recommended on this site and everything went smooth as glass with the exception of breaking the green clip on the hose at the ATF cooler. Yeah, I bought a new one at the dealer for $8.03. I did not have time to order Mobil 3309 ATF so I used Mobil 1 Mercon V synthetic ATF. I'm hoping this is compatible to volvo ATF fluid which incidently, the dealer wanted over $17/Qt. Please tell me asap that I do not have to repeat the procedure with the Mobil 3309.

No, it is NOT OK!
Get that crap out of your XC and put 3309 in it or you may be very sorry
If you cannot find Mobil, buy Toyota 3309. It's much cheaper than the Volvo bottled stuff and the same thing
Now you're going to have to do a really thorough flush to get ALL of that out of your tranny.
You obviously knew about 3309, what were you thinking?

I checked with the tech support at Mobiloil.com and they told me the Mobil Mercon V was ok as a crossmatch for my XC70 so I proceeded. Thanks for the heads up cause obviously they didn't know crap. I have since flushed with 21 qts. of Mobil 3309 just to be safe.
