I took the carpets and padding out and walked over them backwards on a broomstick handle, squeezing coolant out like a rolling pin. Then I soaked them with water and squeezed that out the same way a few times.
The coolant puddled under the carpet all the way to the back seats. Didn't find the coolant in the back until a year later. I'd pull all the carpets front and back (cargo area will be dry) and make sure you got all the coolant out.

Received my tailgate latch from an eBay seller and removed the trim, release lever and lock on the 1998 V70, only to find that it was the wrong version for my chassis.
Ordered the correct one, with fingers crossed!

All I did today was look under my 1998 V70 after I smelled gasoline from the driveway. There I found what appeared to be a leak from the fuel filler tube where it connects to the fuel tank. So it looks like I'll be replacing the gasket.
Is there anything else I should be inspecting or replacing while I'm dropping the tank? I hope the weather cooperates. Forecast calls for 70-degree weather.

I believe there's some type of valve on the top of the tank that can't be accessed unless it's dropped... you might want to check that if you have had P0455 or the like recently. And obviously check/replace any hoses you have access to.

It looks like I'll be ordering the following:
Fuel Tank Hose (the one with two different diameters on each end): PN 9463088
Fuel Tank Vent Hose: PN 3501350
I'm hopeful that one of those might be related to my P0455 code that comes up from time to time.

I think I FINALLY got my tailgate harness issues sorted. My alarm no longer goes off when I unlock the tailgate with the key and my rear wiper works once again.
I went all out this time and soldered every suspect wire, then re-wrapped the harness in some of this corrugated wire wrap after getting frustrated with the original mesh/rubber stuff. This is still a little bulky and moves around a lot when I open/close the tailgate, but it works and the wires are safer than before. Now to move on to re-engineering my trunk area trim pieces that are all destroyed...

That tailgate harness is the only weak link in an otherwise really great wiring system. Great quality connectors, strain relief, chafe relief

Well, I replaced the broken radio antenna on my 850.
That was an adventure.

I re-mounted my HID- bulbs in my full beam headlights and my LED-ramps after the biannual Norwegian safety inspection. EU-regulation prohibit safe driving at night (elk country...). Sweden has the same EU-regulation but swedish inspectors don't care about full beam headlights as long as it's sufficient light output.
I also replaced my DOT headlight lenses to E-code (my 855 was imported to Sweden from Illinois). Noticed that my reflector has been partly burned by my 70w HID bulb. Made a temporary fix with 2*3 cm of silver foil. Strange since since I've heard that 70w HID produces less heat than 55w halogen!? Maybe more to do with ultraviolet radiation than heat?
