I know you can buy pre-cut replacement carpet for the older gen Volvos but what about P80s?
My carpet is filthy and worn. I keep it vaccumed but it’s just ugly to look at. Ideally I could find a source for fitted full floor rubber floor mats like postal Jeeps have! But I doubt I’d get that lucky. I wouldn’t even mind having it Rhinolined.
Anyone have any luck finding OEM old stock replacement parts? My understanding is it’s a total of three pieces, driver, passenger and rear. I don’t care about the cargo area I can spot clean that. Thanks.

Sonic,
I was in the same boat a few years ago. I ended up taking the seats out (cloth) and essentially powerwashed the carpet and used a shop vac to suck up the water. It cleaned up very nicely. I also scrubbed and power washed the seats. I have 2 cars so I let it dry out for a couple days before I put the seats back in. You are correct, it is 3 pieces.

Probably worth trying to clean it. The carpet itself is pretty durable and will take a hard washing without damage. You can rent a carpet cleaner for not too much money, too.
Bear in mind that there's a good deal of matting under the carpet. If you were to go to bare vinyl or bedliner, the car would be significantly louder on the road.

I think he mean power wash the carpet only. But it's doable for the rest of the cabin in some parts of the world

Shame you live so far away. I have a set sitting in my basement from a 1998 V70 in beige. Cost of shipping is the killer. My brother shipped these to me from California and they are the wrong color! US post quoted $80 to ship as they weigh 20lbs and charged him $120 in the end!
If you have a junkyard near you they don't take long to remove. 4 x 15mm (or is it 14mm?) bolts on each seat, rear seat lifts out and I can't recall if the rear seat-belts need removed at the door (don't think so). Carpet then lifts out.

What kind of shape are they in and how much do you want for them, in addition to $120 shipping?scot850 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2017, 10:42 Shame you live so far away. I would try to have then professionally cleaned by a contractor that uses a non-soap based cleaner, like Chem Dry or Stanley Steamer.
I had great results with the former. It will dry very quickly, too.
(You need to find a franchise holder with the upholstery equipment)

PM me your Zip-code, and I can check on shipping charges. I don't want anything for the carpets, just kept them to hopefully find a home for them. I'll get them out of the box as they have been in there for 8 months and check they are still good and I'll take some photos and post them. Then you can decide if you still want them.
