Belgian-built, delivered to USAF Colonel in Europe. As far as I can tell, I'm the 2nd owner.
$500 obo
Heads-up! The clutch is toast, gone, fried. The clutch does NOT engage . . . not even a little. It's clutch-challenged. Bad, bad clutch.
Car is located 30 min. north of Dallas, TX and buyer will need to arrange towing.
Also - the interior is rough, but comfy. T/G panel removed . . . RH front door panel removed . . . headliner sagging.
Also #2 - torn shaft boots, and tired CVs. Expected dings for 278K sled, but body is straight and rust-free.
That said, It has been as well maintained as I could manage, and I've replaced more systems/parts than I can remember, including:
A/C Evap (huge job, BTW)
P/S
Shocks/Struts
Cam & Crank Sensors
Timing Belt (at 190K)
Very new battery
Treated regularly w/ AutoRX and Mobil 1 (overkill, I know)
It has Michelin Tires (approx 30% tread left)
This car's engine started instantly after sitting for 4 mos. It runs like a friggin' sewing machine. A fun, tight-handling ride that still got over 23 mpg when parked. Gaping room inside for tools, toys, dogs, pals...
Hoping a Volvo guy/gal gives it a home and get's it rolling again, or uses it to keep another rig alive. I've been forbidden to work on it any more
It has too many great parts to get scrapped.
