I want to remove gas from the tank as best I can in the easiest way possible. Can I just disconnect somewhere in the engine compartment and run that gas by tubing to my gas cans? If so, where exactly do I disconnect? What do I do then to make the gas flow?
Thanks in advance.

A few years back, I used a jumper wire with alligator clips on both ends, and hooked it to battery, and a fuse that powers up main fuel pump. So, I disconnected return line on 1984-244 at FPR (fuel pressure regulator), and inserted a rubber hose on outlet side of FPR, and inserted it into gas can.
When fuel quit running, I disconnected jumper wire at battery.
If I was replacing main and tank pumps, I would raise vehicle, disconnect inlet line to main pump, and then energize tank pump, if it was still working, which I would test first.
