There's been a sale in the works for this assembly plant...originally AM General military Hummers were built there, then switched production to the civilian version (H2). More recently they were building the R-class SUV under contract for Mercedes. Details were a little sketchy with regard to who was buying the facility aside from it was a company to make EVs. I was hoping it would be Volvo or one of Geely's other brands within the Volvo umbrella (Polestar or Lynk). Oh well

Now Dyson announces it's intention to be involved with the EV market. Dyson-- the vacuum cleaner company.
